The week before classes officially started at Georgia Tech (GT) for the fall semester, the Tech Square courtyard and surrounding area hosted approximately 3,000 incoming freshmen and local vendors in an effort to welcome the incoming class and get them acquainted with all the great things our community has to offer!

The 404 Accelerator, a non-dilutive program run by 404 DAO, accelerates blockchain-oriented startups over the course of a 10-week program, aiding in technical support, mentor sourcing, investors introductions, and much more. To showcase the latest happenings from the cohort, we teamed up with our entrepreneurial partners to host their first-ever 404 Accelerator Demo Day at The Clubhouse!

In a unique experiment to cultivate the essence of collaboration, Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) unveiled an intriguing puzzle challenge right in the heart of its vibrant community hub. Within the lobby walls of Centergy, we placed a 1,000 piece puzzle with nothing other than a simple sign inviting fellow collaborators and contributors to partake in the activity.

While most of our events are aimed at fostering a community that serves as the catalyst for productive collaborations and innovation, it’s refreshing every now and then to host a gathering where members can just come together to enjoy a shared meal and insightful conversation. 

Thursday, July 20, The Clubhouse buzzed with intellectual curiosity and a touch of nostalgia as we commemorated 54 years since humankind's maiden steps on the lunar surface! To celebrate, we hosted an out-of-this-world pop-up, complete with themed activities, sweet treats, and of course, deep [space] conversations. 

Brainpower met brews and banter at the July session of the recurring Tech Square Trivia Night, where community members came together for an evening of competition and connections.

CREATE-X, Georgia Tech’s startup launch program, hosted a private event in The Clubhouse at the end of June to preview the progress of the startups enrolled in the summer session. And fortunately for us at Tech Square ATL (TSQATL), they were able to share an exclusive sneak peek!

June prompted the official onset of summer – and a brand new event series, co-hosted by Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) and the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). Feedback Friday, hosted every other week in The Clubhouse, aimed to bring together a diverse group of aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned mentors to perfect pitches and forge new connections.

Tech Square’s trivia series strikes again, garnering another evening of fueling curiosity and inspiring a quest for knowledge. Hosted at The Clubhouse in the heart of Atlanta’s tech scene, four teams were ready to square off, putting their skills to the test and forging new connections as well. 

Local startup, 404 DAO, hosted an accelerator kickoff event at The Clubhouse in early June, where attendees could network with other entrepreneurs, mentors, and potential investors and learn more about the groups participating in the 10-week cohort program. 

Clean technology, or CleanTech, is a hot topic as of late, with Atlanta setting its sights on becoming the next hub. And with a growing focus on the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, we invited local innovators and experts to help spread the word and share their insights.
