Third Time’s a Charm at Tech Square Trivia Night
Brainpower met brews and banter at the July session of the recurring Tech Square Trivia Night, where community members came together for an evening of competition and connections.
From the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) to International Paper to the Tech Square Research Building (TSRB), a diverse mix of participants came ready to battle it out at The Clubhouse for Laughing Skull comedy tickets and an exclusive tour of Bold Monk, a nearby local brewery. All of this, of course, occurred against a backdrop of complimentary tacos and beer. After all, attendees had to fuel up before getting down to business!
Several teams of five dove into the trivia questions headfirst, while, beyond the battle of brains, a unique subplot unfolded – a few teams, opting for a more relaxed post-trivia vibe, settled in for rounds of mahjong and puzzle-solving.
Regardless of their choice of game, it was exciting to see a myriad of different community members in attendance – with one International Paper employee even deciding to make it a family affair by bringing along their spouse and two kids for a memorable night out. Two of The University Financing Foundation (TUFF)’s summer interns from Georgia Tech and Georgia State Honors College were also present, competing as “TUFF Cookies,” which we found pretty clever.
In the end, victory belonged to three International Paper employees, along with Caroline Dunn from Wahsega and her husband, Paul (IP3+Paul):
Tech Square Trivia Night isn't just about flexing brainpower; it's about bringing the community together and fostering connections. In essence, it’s a (much-needed) departure from the usual tech-heavy discussions, offering a simple and enjoyable excuse to connect and have a good time.
