Taste of Tech Square Takes Over 5th Street

The week before classes officially started at Georgia Tech (GT) for the fall semester, the Tech Square courtyard and surrounding area hosted approximately 3,000 incoming freshmen and local vendors in an effort to welcome the incoming class and get them acquainted with all the great things our community has to offer!

On a beautiful day in mid-August, 5th street was closed (for the first time in 20 years!) for various vendors and student groups to greet the newest class of GT students. Attendees were able to enjoy the area’s eclectic food scene while learning about other offerings in the vicinity, like a membership to be part of the Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) communitywhich offers a great discount for students!

The following student group and startups, who are all TSQATL partners, were present as well:

Overall, the event was highly successful and the heightened awareness and exposure only aided with any recruitment needs from each student group and startup company.
