Applauding Technology for Academy Awards Availability
Streaming services have seen an increase in users as of late. Some may say it’s due to the rising costs of cable. Others attribute it to the advancements in technology that even make such a thing possible. And of course, there’s always the good ole pandemic to “blame.” After all, who isn’t relying on an escape from reality, especially these days?
On that same notion, while no one would wish COVID-19 on even their worst enemy, there still have been some positives that came from it. There’s been less air pollution and fewer traffic accidents due to stay-at-home orders, we’ve gotten [virtually] closer to our loved ones, and the most important benefit – you can now watch all eight of the Academy Award nominees for best picture from the comfort of your own home!
That’s right, for pretty much the first time ever you can view the top movie contenders right from your couch, all thanks to technology and the various streaming services helping make this possible. So grab some popcorn, get cozy, and settle in for some serious binge-watching.
