Tickets for Good Expands Access to Live Entertainment in Atlanta

When it comes to live events, access remains a persistent challenge. Enter Tickets for Good, a pioneering ticketing platform on a mission to enrich lives and foster positive social impact by making live entertainment accessible to those who serve our communities. Originally founded in Sheffield, UK, Tickets for Good expanded into the United States by participating in the 2023 Comcast SportsTech Accelerator. It has quickly made a significant mark in Atlanta’s entertainment ecosystem.

At its core, Tickets for Good is about giving back. The platform partners with sports teams, venues, promoters, talent agencies, artists, and their managers to offer free or significantly discounted tickets to teachers, healthcare workers, nonprofit employees, and other community service professionals. By providing access to these events, Tickets for Good recognizes and rewards those who contribute to the greater good while ensuring fuller audiences and a more dynamic event atmosphere.

Since expanding into the U.S., Tickets for Good has forged partnerships with key Atlanta institutions, including Atlanta United, Atlanta Vibe, State Farm Arena, the Atlanta Hawks, Zero Mile Presents, and Georgia Tech. Major supporters like the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the College Football Playoff Foundation have played crucial roles in connecting the organization with new opportunities.

Tickets for Good’s growing presence in Atlanta’s sports and entertainment scene has led to special community initiatives, such as a dedicated teacher appreciation night at one of the Braves’ MLB games last season. Beyond sports, partnerships with promoters, venues, talent agencies, artists, and their managers have enabled access to high-profile music and comedy events featuring artists like Dua Lipa, The Pixies, Idles, and Kevin Hart.

For Donald Rucker, a teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta, the opportunity to attend the Hawks vs. Lakers game on December 6, 2024, was a moment he’ll never forget:

"It was truly a night I’ll never forget! Witnessing the thrilling game, especially seeing LeBron James and the Hawks clinch an overtime victory, was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was electric, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. I've attached a picture from the game that captures the excitement of the evening. Again, thank you for your generosity and for making such memorable experiences possible!"

More than just ticket access, Tickets for Good helps event organizers and venues maximize attendance, ensuring a packed and energetic audience. By strategically distributing tickets, the platform creates a win-win situation—venues see increased engagement, while community workers gain access to entertainment experiences they might not otherwise afford.

Tickets for Good covers a wide range of live events, including sports, music, comedy, theater, festivals, and other attractions.

A significant milestone in Tickets for Good’s U.S. expansion is its partnership with Ticketmaster. Through Ticketmaster’s Distributed Commerce API, artists, sports teams, and venues can seamlessly allocate a portion of their tickets to Tickets for Good. This collaboration has already resulted in partnerships with organizations such as Blue Man Group, Atlanta Motor Speedway, FELD Entertainment, and U.S. Soccer, expanding the platform’s ability to serve even more community members.

With strong backing from partners, a successful accelerator experience, and increasing recognition in the Atlanta community, Tickets for Good is poised to deepen its impact and expand nationwide. The organization’s work has already touched thousands of lives, and its ambitions extend far beyond Atlanta.

"Atlanta has been a 'home away from home' for us, and we are so grateful for the opportunities we've been given," says Brano Skocek, Head of Partnerships at Tickets for Good North America. "It has allowed us to make a huge difference to thousands of deserving people and their families in the community already.”

Skocek emphasizes that Tickets for Good always looks for new event partners in Atlanta and beyond. "If there’s an event partner in Atlanta we’re not working with yet, and you'd like to get involved, please reach out," he says. "Equally, we’re ready to take the success from Atlanta across the U.S. and Canada. This is only the beginning as we continue to expand globally as part of our mission to become a worldwide leader in empowering the human right to take part in cultural life."
