Community Member Spotlight: Rajan Jayasankar
Meet Rajan Jayasankar, Executive Director for TEDxGeorgiaTech (TEDxGT). When he isn’t overseeing operations for TEDxGT, you can find Rajan in his woodshop, reading, or hiking.
As part of our Community Member Spotlight series, we caught up with Rajan about a favorite project of his, something about him that’s not listed in his resume, what excites him the most about what he’s studying in school, and one thing he’d tell others about Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) Social Club.
Q: What's your favorite project with TEDxGT so far and why?
A: I enjoyed our 2018 professional conference due to the large reach and audience it was able to have on campus, as well as the professional community in Atlanta.
Q: What's something about you that's not on your resume?
A: I have my own woodshop that I built from scratch.
Q: What excites you the most about what you're studying in school?
A: My major gives me the potential to help people and leave a long-lasting legacy in the scientific world.
Q: What do you enjoy doing during your time off?
A: I enjoy reading, running, hiking, traveling, and gardening.
Q: What's one thing you would tell people about Tech Square ATL Social Club?
A: Tech Square ATL Social Club is an amazing space to collaborate with people from all walks of life.
Q: What's your favorite restaurant/cafe in the Tech Square neighborhood?
A: Waffle House! Can't go wrong with waffles and coffee.
