Spotlight: AI Teaching Assistant

Lalith Polepeddi, a Georgia Tech Masters student, is working with Professor Ashok Goel at the Design Intelligence Lab to create an Artificial Intelligent Teaching Assistant for current classes. This AI isn't exactly taking the TA's job, it "answers questions that are more frequently asked or more routine". By being developed at Georgia Tech, this AI gains access to smart researchers and smart students; each semester the virtual assistant gets more intelligent and more responsive to feedback. In the Design Intelligence Lab's spotlight, Lalith explains how the AI works and how it learns.
