Five Ways to Help Houston Today
We have all seen the images of the flooding and devastation in Houston and along the Texas and Louisiana coastlines. Now's your chance to help those who are displaced from their home - human and animal.
Join the Tech Square community in donating your support in the way that means the most to you. If you're searching for ways to donate, we have identified five ways:
- RELIEF: Donate to the American Red Cross through Amazon and they'll match your gift to help provide food, shelter, and supplies
- SUPPLIES: Amazon has created Shopping Lists lets you buy specific supplies for relief organizations
- PETS: The SPCA of Texas is organizing evacuations of pets in Texas
- FOOD: Houston Food Bank gives you the most efficient way donate food
- BABIES AND ELDERLY: The Texas Diaper Bank, based in San Antonio, works to meet the basic needs of vulnerable babies, children with disabilities, and seniors.
We encourage you to donate before Friday, Sept 1 at 12noon. We will collect cash and check donations for the American Red Cross at the Thurs, Aug 31 Grill+Chill happening in the Tech Square Plaza from 4:30-7pm.
