Event Recap: Women in Technology Career Fair

This past week, Women in Technology (WIT) held a career fair at the TSQ ATL Clubhouse. The career fair and WIT’s primary goals are to empower and support women in securing fulfilling careers in the science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) fields. The nonprofit aims to make Georgia the state with the highest percentage of women in the STEAM workforce by collaborating with communities and offering opportunities that support women throughout their education and careers.

The event attracted over 225 attendees of various ages, races, genders, and job levels, embodying WIT’s mission of fostering inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment. There were 14 companies in attendance, including Brooksource, Capgemini, CGI, Cisco, Fiserv, Georgia Pacific, HD Supply, Insight Global, Norfolk Southern, Ware2G0, State Farm, Tier4 Group, Truist, and title sponsor The Home Depot. Tier4 Group provided resume reviews to more than 70 attendees, while Cisco and Brooksource completed around 25 mock interviews.

The WIT Career Fair exemplifies our commitment to empowering our community and driving our mission forward. By facilitating meaningful connections between our members and leading tech companies, we expand professional networks and create new opportunities. With a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, we help companies prioritize hiring talent that fosters innovation and increases representation in the tech industry. Beyond just networking, we ensure that attendees have access to crucial career advancement resources, supporting their personal and professional growth while strengthening the resilience of our entire WIT community.
