Passive Learning via Haptic Gloves

Caitlyn Seim is a researcher at Georgia Tech who works with haptic technology, which uses vibrations and other forces to stimulate the sense of touch.

Haptic technology enables people to learn skills more quickly than traditional methods. For many, her research is life-changing. "Some people came in only being able to move a finger, and they left being able to button their shirt," she said.

Caitlyn has done studies to help people with rehabilitation, reading braille, and even learning how to play the piano. To learn more, visit https://www.cc.gatech.edu/~cseim6/
