ChooseATL SXSW 2016 Recap

For two days during SXSW 2016, ChooseATL transformed the Speakeasy bar on Congress Avenue in Austin into a jam packed menagerie of Atlanta, a city known worldwide for hospitality and hustle.  Killer Mike, Yik Yak, R City, creators of The Walking Dead, Bitter Southerner's The South Has Got Something to Say panel, and How Stuff Works were just a slice of what was served up.

On the first day, the Tech Square ATL squad represented in the ChooseATL booth at the SXSW Trade Show, stirring up interest from many of the technology enthusiasts also in attendance. It was great to see a steady stream of Georgia Tech alumni walking up to say hi.

The next day, the Tech Square Takeover rocked the ChooseATL SXSW House showcasing the heart of Atlanta's tech scene and its Breakthrough Talent, Breakthrough Ideas, and Breakthrough Companies.  Six startups - Monsieur, Partpic, Gimme, Converge, 352 Inc, and Foundry 45 - showed off their wares and attendees enjoyed a personal 90-second Virtual Reality tour of Tech Square.

Thanks to Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business, Advanced Technology Development Corporation (ATDC), The University Financing Foundation, and Sandbox ATL who made the Tech Square Takeover possible.
