Bits of Good Hosts Spring Demo Day, Showcasing New Nonprofit Partnerships

Last month, Bits of Good held its highly anticipated spring Demo Day, where project teams presented the results of their semester-long work with local nonprofit partners. The event drew significant attention from Georgia Tech faculty and Atlanta-based nonprofit organizations, all eager to see the impact of Bits of Good's collaborations.

Among the standout projects were AARF (Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends) and FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress). Thanks to the hard work of Bits of Good’s teams, both initiatives are now preparing for deployment.

AARF, which is dedicated to supporting rescue animals in the Atlanta area, benefited from a volunteer management website application. This platform enables AARF volunteers and administrators to effectively connect and manage their efforts. The project is part of Bits of Good's larger initiative, VolunTrack, which customizes volunteer management systems for nonprofit organizations.

FOCUS, a nonprofit supporting families with children facing lifelong developmental or physical disabilities, received a newly developed community page. This online space is a forum for families to share experiences, building a stronger, more connected community within FOCUS.

Demo Day also highlighted the essential work of Bits of Good's internal committees. The Operations Committee played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. At the same time, the Marketing and Branding Committee produced engaging social media content to share the day’s successes across platforms.

"Demo Day is a celebration of the hard work of our teams, but also of the partnerships that make it all possible," said Nithya Kasaraneni, Executive Director of Bits of Good. "It’s inspiring to see the tangible impact our work has on these nonprofits and their communities."
